Altum Consulting are currently supporting our client - one of the Europe's leading logistics and real estate companies - in their search of an experienced Financial Accountant to join their busy and successful Finance department in The Netherlands which is located 20 minutes outside of Amsterdam.

Working as an Accountant for this fast-growth and dynamic organisation, you take ownership of the German entities within the real estate division.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for;-

Preparation of financial reporting on a quarterly basis under local GAAP & IFRS standards
Taking ownership of the day-to-day accounting for various entities;- invoicing, reconciliations, journal entries, bank statements, intercompany reconciliations etc
Preparation of Financial Statements
Supporting year end audit process
Assisting with consolidation process
Preparing annual accounts for Dutch entities and supporting local providers within Germany & Belgium by supplying important financial information for their annual accounts
Reviewing VAT & CIT declarations
Supporting preparation of monthly management reports and cash-flows
Providing ad-hoc reports and financial analysis where required
Liaising with external auditors

Experience and Education;-

Educated with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent
Professional accountancy qualification is desired;- ACA/ACCA/CA/RA etc
3-4 years experience working within a similar accounting function within an international environment
Exposure to working within the Real Estate sector is highly desirable
Dutch and/or German language skills are required
Advanced user of MS Office and knowledge of Horizon accounting system is desirable
