Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

Head of FP&A | £65-70k | 2 days a week in London office | Growing Health Charity

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing health research focused non-profit which has a fantastic reputation across the sector. This is a newly created position due to expansion in the team and is a fantastic opportunity to make a mark on the existing finance function to lead a team across the financial planning & analysis department, delivering strategic oversight and planning across both short and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the financial strategy for the organisation and driving forward the charity\'s goals
• Deliver the financial budget setting, internal reporting and forecasting
• Providing and developing insightful and detailed management reports
• Work as part of the SMT in providing key information to support decision-making
• Manage and develop the FP&A team to ensure a strong service is provided by the team
• Provide accurate and insightful proposals to the wider senior management team
• Work closely with senior management to develop financial capability across the organisation
• Develop, design and implement strong processes and controls across the FP&A function to ensure efficient and fit for purpose reporting.

Person Specification

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
• Ideally a background working within a charitable organisation but commercial experience will be considered too
• Significant experience of staff management
• Strong experience across FP&A including budgeting, financial management and reporting
• Excellent communicator with the ability to adapt approach to work with a range of senior stakeholders
