Altum Consulting are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a global Media business based in central London. This permanent role is a fantastic opportunity for a Part Qualified/studying Accountant to join a collaborative, growing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting in the preparation of Management Accounts
  • Perform month end for Accounts Payable, VAT, Fixed Assets and general ledger in the finance system.
  • Assist in the producing timely and reliable management information reports
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments during month end
  • Preparing standard and ad hoc month-end journals
  • Monthly reconciliation of all inter-company accounts, identifying reconciling items and actioning
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Ensure inter-company accounts agree within month end close.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for the annual audit during year end to support notes to the statutory accounts.

You’ll be/have:

  • Entering or studying towards an Accountancy Qualification (AAT, Part Qualified)  
  • Practical experience in a Finance role
  • Good interpersonal skills and commitment to work within accounting deadlines.
  • Positive attitude towards learning & sharing
