​Altum are working alongside our client - a leading, privately owned UK Retailer - in hiring an exciting and newly created role in The Netherlands.

Due to the changes in legislation regarding Brexit, our client is looking for an expert to set up a Dutch B.V for the organisation to ensure full compliance is adhered to relating to new regulations and to mitigate any risk to the business.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Operations Director, you will be responsible for;-

  • Managing and running the finance supply chain of the Dutch BV to ensure that all financial areas are run efficiently

  • Managing the relationships with head office and 3rd parties

  • Ensuring that there are sufficient controls, internal frameworks, compliance and governance are implemented

  • Monthly reporting on BV operations

  • Company signatory

  • Understand Shipping and Duty and VAT rates

  • Track, review and negotiate any existing or new contracts relating to Couriers, Logistics, Freight etc

  • Create a seamless, compliant and efficient logistics journey with customer experience at the forefront of all changes

  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across the business such as;- Head of Tax, Planning Director, Freight Forwarders, Supply Chain Team, Operations team

  • Being the main point of contact to liaise with local work councils in The Netherlands to set up the B.V and any new regulations required

  • Travel to the UK to attend board meetings and provide regular updates to Senior Management

  • Create and drive process improvements

Education and Experience;-

  • Educated with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar

  • 5+ years Finance & Supply Chain experience

  • Solid knowledge of import/export

  • Experience of working within Supply Chain or Logistics company is highly desirable

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is essential

  • Knowledge of governance and risk management

  • Experience of working in countries such as;- Netherlands, Germany, Austria and France is desirable

  • Must hold a valid working permit or EU passport

  • Willingness to travel to the UK on a monthly basis
