GROUP TREASURER - INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE/TECH BUSINESS
Altum Consulting are exclusively supporting our client with their search for a hands-on & motivated Group Treasurer to join their highly successful finance team located in The Hague.
Our client is a unique Insurance organisation whose entrepreneurial mind-set is at the forefront of their business. They currently have a very exciting 5 year growth plan in place and are looking for an experienced Treasurer to join them through this time of expansion.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this will be a stand-alone role working as a part of the wider group finance department both locally and regionally, therefore my client is looking for someone who is willing to be hands-on and carry out a full 360 role.
Role and Responsibilities;-
Act as a key link between group finance and the regional controlling teams to support on various Treasury related activities
Establish, execute and manage the group Treasury policies
Improve and implement the treasury strategy
Manage the daily cash balances and credit facilities with the banks
Monitor the cashflow related risks and identify ways to prevent future risks
Identifying opportunities as well as minimizing risks within the treasury department
Oversee the credit management activities for the group
Management of the foreign currency positions across the business
Main point of contact with various banks, building and maintaining strong relationships
Ensure that cash and interest pool usage is optimised
Preparation of cash forecasting and present to the Finance Director and wider Management Team
Support the business with the development and execution of funding strategies
Take ownership of developing and maintaining the treasury management system
Actively looking at ways to develop continuous improvements to treasury processes
Provide regular treasury reports to the management team
Participate in various ad-hoc projects including M&A activities
Education & Experience;-
Educated with a Master degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent
Formal Treasury qualification is highly desired
6+ years of professional experience within Treasury having worked within a dynamic and international environment
Strong communication skills
Self-starter who can manage a diverse workload and is happy to be hands-on
Proven ability to work in a fast-growth and dynamic business
Good IT skills being a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP
Fluency in English and Dutch is highly desired
This role will be working within a very enterprising business and will require communication across the whole group consisting of various entities and stakeholders, therefore this will be the perfect role for someone who can work autonomously whilst being a subject matter expert support the whole business.
