This exciting Assistant Management Accountant position is a fantastic opportunity to grow a business partnering function within a successful grant-giving charity. This role will be a great mix of maintaining the transactional function as well as working with key stakeholders providing a good service from finance to understand budgeting and forecasting.
Key responsibilities for Assistant Management Accountant
Processing payments for grant payments and ensuring accuracy within this area
Producing accurate and detailed month-end accounting
Providing key analysis and insightful commentary on various management reporting
Presenting to key stakeholders of many levels across the organisation
Reconciling bank accounts and petty cash, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved
Become the 'go-to’ person on any finance queries for budget holders
Adding value through key investigative work on reporting to go beyond the numbers but the reasons behind them
Various ad hoc reporting to improve understanding of departmental finance
Person Specification for Assistant Management Accountant
A part-qualified accountant with ambition to further their studies
Experience in working on month end reporting including variance analysis
The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
A self-starter with a strong personality to work with a range of senior non-finance stakeholders
A confident communicator with ambition to work with stakeholders across the organisation
