Altum Consulting are working exclusively with a large-cap PE fund to build out the finance function of a recently acquired manufacturing business with a global presence. The business was acquired as part of a "buy & build" strategy and is already a market-leader within the industrial manufacturing space, operating across 20 countries and generating over £1bn in revenue annually. As part of the build out, the need to hire an experienced and technically strong finance professional with extensive IFRS knowledge has arisen.

The role will manage the compliance of consolidated financial statements with international accounting standards and market regulators requirements, be responsible for providing technical guidance on accounting issues, work closely with the Controlling finance team, auditors, and external advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities,

Financial Consolidation and reporting:

• Assist in the consolidation process of financial statements for the group of companies.
• Manage IFRS 16 Database

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements related to accounting and financial reporting.
• Stay informed and monitor changes in IFRS & Regulations and draft technical memorandum to present a strategy
• Analyse, translate new standards and manage the implementation in the financial statements in coordination with auditors, including in its systems dimensions

Accounting Policy Development:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with private equity reporting requirements and stay updated on changes in accounting regulations.
• Update bluebook (Group Accounting Manual) and cascade to the relevant groups

Audit Support:

• Assist auditors in the review and validation of the financial consolidation process and related controls.

Required Experience,

• Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years PQE
• Trained within a top 6 accountancy practice (ideally audit or accounting advisory)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience working within a PE portco desirable
• Manufacturing experience desirable
