Our client

Our client is a globally recognised industry leader operating within the media industry.  They have partnered Altum Group to recruit a high-energy individual who will drive continuous improvement and cultural change across their Finance processes within the organisation’s SSC.

Key responsibilities

- Responsible for driving business improvement programmes across the SSC and implementing new processes and controls across the finance team

- Support the business change for the SSC and help drive new projects

- Project lead for Process Optimisation programmes

- Own the success of new processes and projects by thinking about wider support including training, communications & change management

- Engage with the rest of the SSC, Finance Directors and Programme Leads to drive new initiatives

- Design the future Business Change Function in the SSC

- Design and communicate SSC processes to wider business as new initiatives are developed

- Help drive innovative technology solutions such as RPA, Chatbots & visualisation

- Test current ways of working and recommend improved ways of doing things

- Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with current SSC staff, SSC management team and wider Finance function

Key experience


  • Qualified accountant ideally ACA
  • Strong understanding of transactional finance processes and systems
  • Experience of implementing finance process and control improvements
  • Ability to leverage technology to drive process improvement and optimisation
  • Understanding and implementation of change management methodologies
  • Understanding of finance automation
  • Demonstrable experience communicating with and influencing a variety of senior stakeholders
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience delivering cultural change initiatives, specifically improving colleague and customer experience through mindset and behaviour change
  • Demonstrable experience of business partnering and forging strong relationships with business leaders
  • Track record of understanding business requirements and delivering solutions



  • Experience of cloud ERP programme or projects
  • Knowledge of Continuous improvement/Lean six sigma
  • Lean/Prince2/Green belt qualification
  • Bringing best practice from other organisations and support its application in the current client
