Altum Consulting are currently supporting our client, a FTSE 500 US listed multi-national within the manufacturing sector, to recruit a Senior Manager to lead and support the EMEA P2P (Purchase to Pay) team within their Financial Shared Service Centre.

Based in the EMEA head quarters in Amsterdam, this role is reporting directly to the Director of Shared Services and working closely with senior level stakeholders both internally and externally. 

This is an integral position within the SSC where you will be responsible for;-

  • Manage, lead and mentor a large team across P2P  
  • Ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency is carried out within the team 
  • Have full ownership for P2P process as well as AP, T&E and Cash processes 
  • Responsible for any escalations and issues that have been identified 
  • Consistent communication with third parties and stakeholders such as suppliers and and buyers to resolve any discrepancies and manage relationships 
  • Identify opportunities to improve work-flow and invoicing processes 
  • Supporting the overall business by providing insights into the P2P figures and trends, detailing any risks and opportunities 
  • Prepare and review AP monthly management and KPI reporting 
  • Take ownership of automations for P2P and AP to make essential improvements to the invoicing and cost processes
  • Ensuring standardization across each customer and system 
  • Supporting auditors to ensure audit objectives are met 
  • Ensure VAT and Intrastat transactions are properly recorded and accounted for 
  • Ensure all transactions are fully compliant under SOX regulations and regularly monitoring the internal controls and compliance process
  • Be a strong leader for the team across all levels and ensure the team is motivated to increase efficiency in performance  
  • Ensure there is consistent and effective communication across the department 
Education and Experience Requirements:-
  • Educated with a degree in Accounting/Finance 
  • 10+ years of professional work experience within P2P/AP 
  • 5+ years of managing large teams 
  • Previous experience of working within a SSC environment 
  • Knowledge of working within a US owned and matrixed organisation is preferred 
  • Familiar with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act 
  • Strong IT skills and with proven experience of streamlining work flows and creating efficiencies 
  • Previous knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion is desirable 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team
  • Strong communication skills across the business at all levels 
  • Fluency in the English language
