​Altum Consulting are pleased to be working exclusively with one of the fastest growing Real Estate/Hospitality businesses to find a Senior Finance Manager. This hyper-growth company has gone from strength-to-strength since inception and offers one of the most unique products on the market, with assets across multiple continents and almost £3bn invested globally. The finance function has grown significantly in the past few months and now requires a technically-strong Finance Manager to develop the team further and help position the business closer to its goal of becoming a market-leader. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the fast-growing finance team, joining the very heart of the business and working closely with both finance and non-financial stakeholders across the group.

The role of Senior Finance Manager will be to manage the UK finance team, delivering a best-in-class finance function and preparing the business for further expansion into new markets.

Key responsibilities,

  • Ensure monthly management accounts are produced on time and are accurate

  • Liaise with decentralised finance teams to ensure a smooth and effective month end cycle

  • Ensure balance sheets are correctly prepared and reconciled monthly

  • Managing team structure, workload and culture

  • Review team reports for distribution

  • Manage Accounts Payable within the HQ finance function

  • Managing HQ audit

  • Review and improve systems, controls and processes

  • Support the preparation of Budgets and reforecasts

  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system, helping develop team knowledge and mentoring on usage.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Educated to degree level

  • Accounting qualification – ACA/ACCA/CIMA with demonstrable technical strength and experience

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously, working under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Inspiring and empathetic leader that has managed teams and has track record of developing talent

  • Experience with large-scale, multi-site operations across multiple geographies.

  • Real estate experience beneficial (both development and operational real estate a bonus)

  • Prior experience of finance transformation programmes

  • Track record of delivering significant improvements to the timing and accuracy and quality of financial reporting in short timeframes

  • Experience of multi-site/entity/currency reporting structures with complex consolidations

  • Willingness to self-develop, advance career and a positive can-do attitude!
