REVENUE CONTROLLER - NETHERLANDS - HEALTH & FITNESS SECTOR

  

Altum Consulting are currently supporting our client in their search for a commercially minded and highly analytical Revenue Controller to join them in their brand new offices located in Amsterdam!

 Our client is a highly reputable and entrepreneurial private equity backed Health & Fitness club whose brand is known across The Netherlands.

 For over 11 years, the business has organically grown through strategic acquisitions enabling them to double in revenue and open over 100 gyms across The Netherlands. Despite the pandemic, they remained a key asset to the mental and physical health of many and are now in a position to continue with their ambitious growth plans!

 As Revenue Controller, you will be working in a high performing team of 5 Controllers reporting directly to the Finance Director.

 The primary purpose of this role is to drive impactful insights on revenue performance, supporting revenue tracking, identifying opportunities to grow the business and tracking opportunities whether they be new or existing channels.

 You will act as a key financial sparring partner to the Finance Director, Club Managers and CFO to provide detailed analysis and financial reports to support the management team with crucial decision-making.

 

 Role & Responsibilities;-

  • Produce high-level analysis of all clubs across The Netherlands to improve business productivity leveraging best practice

  • Accountable for recognising new opportunities to fundamentally improve how the business and clubs operate (offers, reducing costs, improving memberships pricing structure)

  • Use existing frameworks and information to systematically identify opportunities and prompt discussions with stakeholders on how to realize them and take action

  • Use insightful data to drive deeper, more actionable conversations with the teams

  • Develop new pricing models for memberships and offers

  • Manage large, complex data sets relating to subscriptions, terms, fees and add-ons relating to various revenue streams

  • Competitor analysis

  • Act as a financial link and business partner to your stakeholders such as Club Managers by providing suggestions and recommendations based on specific member statistics (joiners, leavers, predictions etc)

 

Education & Experience;-

  • Educated with a Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent

  • Highly analytical with the proven ability to creating meaning behind the numbers through detailed reports, dashboards and presentations

  • A strong communicator across all levels of the business

  • Ability to translate numbers and data into commercial opportunities

  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and make recommendations based on detailed analysis

  • Capable of managing large sets of data and identifying key information

  • Advanced user of Excel is essential

  • Use of Tableau or other BI tools is desired

  • Sharp and intuitive mind

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English languages, written and verbal

  • Must hold a valid EU work permit
