Altum are excited to partner with a global money transferring company to find them a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the organisation’s financial business activity. Working with the finance teams, you will streamline and standardise month-end processes, and aim to continually improve best practices. This is a fast-paced environment, so the successful candidate will need to adapt, be proactive and work collaboratively with other teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Take over business activity reporting for certain financial statement line items and/or regional entities, together with punctual and accurate delivery of inputs from wider business
- Drive close of general ledger in line with month end timetable and oversee the finance analysts work
- Complete and review reconciliations along with journal entries to guarantee all transactions are recorded correctly
Prepare monthly statutory entity packs (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) by region/market, including commentaries (ensuring completeness and accuracy, and understanding the drivers)
- Conduct all local regulatory/ compliance/ tax reporting
- Support departments and partners on accounting matters, including accuracy of results across departments and commentary on material entries
- Streamline and standardise month-end processes along with finance teams; and continually improve and implement best practice within the team.
Key Skills
- ACA qualified accountant
- Good academics (min 2:1) with strong A levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and cope with ambiguity
- Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, and proactive mindset
- Collaborative, and able to work across a variety of teams (finance and others) to drive deliverables and progression
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of NetSuite or similar general ledger system.
