REPORTING ANALYST (INVESTMENT FIRM) - AMSTERDAM

Altum Consulting are excited to be working once again with one of our most prestigious clients to assist their search for a Reporting Analyst to join their high performing Accounting team within their international finance department.

Our client is a global leader and award-winning business within the Financial Services sector. They have over 20 offices situated globally, with Amsterdam being a main HQ for their Dutch B.V.

This Reporting Analyst role will be based in their Amsterdam office which consists of a highly diverse, international and ambitious team. Our client is looking for someone who is a skilled and self-motivated accountant to take on this integral role in the business.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Coordination of reporting activities
• Preparation and validation of investment related bookings for transactions, valuations and other investment-related information
• Coordinate, monitor and control the integrity of all information in the accounting system
• Regularly review the work on the system through monthly checks and targeted projects in relation to direct investments
• Develop, prepare and analyse monthly and annual financial reports for the investors and management teams
• Provide support at different time to the wider investment teams across the varying offices for activities relating to closing process, and during the various stages of the investment process
• Provide the teams with financial and other deal related information and analysis on a regular and ad-hoc basis
• Provide ad-hoc information to other internal and external parties when required
• Assist the external auditors in relation to financial and control audits

Education & Experience:

• Educated with a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Economics, Finance, Accountancy or equivalent
• Formal accountancy qualification is advantageous
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar accounting/audit related field, ideally financial services industry
• Good understanding of (US) GAAP and IFRS
• Hands on experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Focus to complete combined with ability to work on several tasks and projects at the same time
• Strong attention for detail and consistency
• Ability to work in and positively contribute to a team
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Strong communicative skills
• Fluency in English
