Altum are proud to be partnering with a well-known governmental body to help recruit for a Receivables Advisor to work in their Receivables and Cash Management Team. The ideal candidate will understand the accounts receivable process and looking to further their finance career within a very reputable organisation.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Guarantee AR mail boxes are managed on a daily basis and all requests and queries are dealt with efficiently
  • Ensure all yearly invoicing is process in a accurate, complete and timely manner
  • Ensure monthly invoice schedule assigned to relevant stakeholders and the beginning of each month to guarantee the schedule is complete and invoices are raised on time
  • Guarantee sales ledger balances are collected in line with the organisations terms and conditions
  • Raise write offs/credit notes/refunds with correct documentation and gain necessary approval
  • Explore any unallocated credits and unknown receipts to guarantee all funds are allocated in a efficient and timely manner
  • Ensure all relevant KPI’s are updated and all daily and weekly key activities are completed in an accurate and prompt manner
  • Guarantee all reconciliations and monthly reports are finalised and provided to Finance ops manager within monthly timetable

Person specification -

  • Credit and/or accountancy qualification desirable but not essential 
  • Positive and personable attitude, able to fit into a new team seamlessly
  • Finance knowledge with an understanding of debits, credits and reconciliations
  • Handles objections and questions professionally, providing robust and rational response
  • Good numeracy and accuracy skills with an eye for detail
