An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Property Accountant to join a very reputable property business in central London. This is a newly created role that has a high possibility to go permanent. Experience with calculating service charges is an absolute essential along with previous Business Partnering Experience. The role will only require working in the office 1-2 days per week, the rest will be remote.
Preparation of the annual service charge budgets.
Business partner the Centre and Operations Directors/ Managers for relevant properties, being the first point of contact for operational finance matters.
Reconcile the year-end service charge and produce booklets in accordance with RICS guidelines.
Complete the month-end for properties.
Ensure costs are correctly apportioned between recoverable service charge and non-recoverable managed operations where appropriate.
Prepare and issue variance reports to key business partners and senior management.
Understanding of key balance sheet accounts for each property and provide analysis in respect of the closing balances and year to date movements.
Monthly reporting for properties managed by third parties.
Involvement in other property accounting work and projects as appropriate.
