Superb opportunity for a previous Big 4, Chartered Accountant with 2 - 4 years post qualification experience in accountancy and/or audit.

The job title is Portfolio & Risk Analyst. Accountancy and audit experience is a must; the more complex your client portfolio experience the better. Fluent English and/or Dutch is quintessential to your success in the role along with experience within Private Equity / Real Estate / Investment Banking / Asset Management / Trust being preferred - as our client has complex and challenging business lines. 

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Be a key point of contact for investors, external auditors, and service providers

  • Critically review and suggest improvements for investment fund financial statements under US

    GAAP, IFRS and Dutch GAAP

  • Maintain and improve the internal control environment (ISAE 3402 Report, SOX controls and

    Policy and Procedure Manual)

  • Analyze the portfolio and its performance for the Operating and Investment Committees,

    AlpInvest Board and Investment Teams

  • Portfolio reporting to the investors on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

  • Participate pro-actively in ad-hoc projects for the CFO and other teams

  • Support compliance with AIFMD, IAA and other supervisors and regulators

     

    Relevant experience sought: 

  • Chartered Accountant / CPA qualified (or equivalent) and university degree in Finance or Accounting, with above average results

  • Approximately four to seven years relevant work experience, including at a Big Four Audit Firm

  • Thorough knowledge of US & Dutch GAAP or IFRS is preferred

  • Strong understanding of ISAE 3402/ SAS 70/ SSAE 16 Reports/ SOX preferable

  • Good command of English (Dutch language skills not a pre-requisite)

  • Team player, experience within an international environment

  • Audit experience in banking, asset management and private equity is preferable
