Altum Consulting are partnering with a UK based charity to find a Payroll Manager to join their Payroll team on a basis of 3-5 months. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic payroll team and deliver a high quality and accurate payroll service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all employees are paid on time
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliations of payroll
  • Ensure leavers are provided with accurate P45 details
  • Responsible for the tax year-end proces including submissions of relevant forms to HMRC
  • Act as a main point of contact for employee benefits and pay queries
  • Working closely with HR to develop policies affecting payroll, e.g. sickness and redundancy
  • Oversee changes in legislation and provide proactive advice on how the changes will affect the organisation
  • Advising the wider payroll team


Candidate Profile:

  • Experience using ITrent software is essential
  • CIPP qualification is desirable 
  • Previous experience managing a team is essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for the charity sector is essential, and previous experience is desirable
