Our client is a leading UK property developer and manager and is undergoing a transformation programme with the objective of delivering improvements aligned to the company\'s strategic objectives. They have retained Altum Consulting to find them an Senior Business Change Manager to support the delivery of the new operating model for one of their key functions, to embed the new processes, ways of working and culture and behaviours.
Initially, they have identified the following areas:
- Review the current job roles and accountabilities against the To Be operating model
- Develop competencies and JDs for new roles and any changes to existing roles
- Together with the Senior People Partners and Line Managers (as appropriate), assess current and future capabilities as well as changes to day to day working practices.
- Work together with the People team, appoint talent into new roles, recruit externally where there are gaps.
- Ensure there are development plans in place for all individuals and especially for those individuals in stretch roles. Develop new guidelines for culture, behaviour and ways of working expected of all colleagues.
- Engage and energise the teams in the process. Following a business change best practice methodology, identify the scope, approach and engagement plans which will deliver and embed effective change in people, process and systems in line with the strategic objectives
- Work with the OD Programme team to develop a collaborative approach and establish appropriate communication channels. Give the business change every chance of success by building trust across the stakeholder community, inspiring the teams to want to change and providing the right level of support and empowerment to ensure the changes are embedded and long terms benefits are realised.
- Embed the changes and implement control measures to ensure the new ways of working and behaviours are delivering the business benefits defined.
In addition to the above, there will be a need to support the business with other Change projects. The scope of works will report into the Chief People and Improvement Officer, but will work closely with the relevant Exec and SLT members.
