Our client is an established industry leader in its field and a brand name everyone will recognise. Currently undergoing a high-profile merger with a US business, we are searching for an experienced M&A Manager to join on an initial 6 month contract to support the COO and help strategize and navigate the company through an extremely exciting change.

About the role

As M&A Manager, you will support activities across Europe and USA, analysing the integration of two large businesses, looking at pipeline of deals and driving an efficient process. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a formative stage and help shape new business process, strategy and develop operational and commercial goals.

What will you do:

  • Collaborate with COO, CFO and senior non-finance Directors develop new tools to source and evaluate risks and opportunities

  • Own financial modelling and scenario analysis around both businesses’ integration and make insightful recommendations off the back of this modelling

  • M&A Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to develop credible business plans in a rapidly changing environment

  • Prepare market analysis and in-depth assessments of key industry trends and areas where the merged business should focus

  • Support report writing, Board packs, COO briefings for both companies

  • Manage a tight due diligence process from end to end, including working with third parties

Who you are:

  • Qualified accountant, ideally ACA with Corporate Finance/Transaction Services experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ post-qualified experience

  • Previous experience as an M&A Manager working in industry/commerce desirable

  • Knowledge of investment banking, private equity/VC or corporate development, ideally in consumer sector is useful

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated quantitative ability

  • Experience in building financial models for a range of uses

  • Can effectively support C-suite and manage due diligence process

  • Demonstrable ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects

  • Track record of high achievement and responsibility
