We are supporting one of the UKs most highly regarded humanitarian aid charities in the search for a dynamic and confident finance business partner, to support the emergency response department, and deliver training to finance and non-finance colleagues globally.
Responsibilities will include;
Leading from a finance perspective on planning, budgeting and forecasting for department
Business partnering with department heads to increase finance understanding and challenge and make recommendations where possible
Providing meaningful analysis and insight on financial performance to aid decision making
Reviewing and processing grant agreements, transfers and cashflow requestions for emergencies
Financial management surge support to international regions after a complex emergency
Due diligence of partners
Financial management of restricted fund applications, projects and reporting
Continuously seeking to make process improvement/efficiencies where possible
Designing and developing and delivering financial training sessions for the international directorate
Identifying and mitigating risks throughout
The ideal candidate will be finalist or fully qualified accountant and have some experience of working within finance of an international NGO either from an inhouse or audit perspective. You will some experience of budget management and have strong communication skills with the confidence to deliver training sessions to colleagues at all levels.
