Interim Senior Financial Accountant

A leading investment firm, focussed on acquiring and growing biotech start-ups, is in need of an interim Senior Financial Accountant to cover a period of parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a well paid (up to £450 per day), six-month contract in a forward thinking business that should suit a qualified accountant, perhaps with an audit background and experience producing consolidated group accounts. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week required in the Central London offices.

As the Senior Financial Accountant your role will involve:

• Preparation of cashflow forecasts and subsequent investment recommendations;
• Preparation of board reporting materials
• Management of multicurrency current and deposit accounts and day-to-day liquidity.
• Responsibility for the preparation of all valuation related materials for the Valuation Function, Valuation Committee and Audit Committee.
• Liaison with external valuation advisers.
• Monthly reporting for the listed company and its entities.
• Producing statutory accounts under IFRS and liaising with auditors

The ideal Senior Financial Accountant will:

• Be a qualified accountant
• Ideally have experience working within an internal or external audit role previously
• Have experience producing financial statements, in-house
• Be available from early January
