Altum have the pleasure of working exclusively again with one of our most prestigious client to support their search of a newly created Holdings Financial Accountant role.
Our client is a multinational, revolutionary and innovative healthcare business who are highly advanced with the technologies and R&D of their products. They have a global presence and a European Corporate Head Office located in Amsterdam.?
This role will be working as a part of their Global Financial Head Quarters, reporting directly to the General Manager and supporting the wider FHQ team with an array of activities in a broad accounting function for the holdings.
Role & Responsibilities
Accounting
Full cycle accounting ownership and oversight including, but not limited to:
- Coding dividends, loans, and capital injections
- Check and approval of payment proposals
- Ownership of booking keeping activities at FHQ
- Responsible for the successful and timely completion of month end close
- Ad hoc and regular reporting to FHQ management
- Responsible for consolidation of FHQ budget, including analysis of actuals
- Preparation of annual reports for FHQ entities
- Preparation of all documents required by auditors
- Responsible for balance specifications
- JSox compliance
- Responsible for provision of data requested by De Nederlandse Bank
- Ad hoc reporting
- Review of invoices by Baker and allocation to correct entity
- Cooperate with divisions on booking of transactions such as acquisitions
Treasury
- Oversight of management of bank accounts
- Oversight of currency management
- Responsible for time deposit analysis and recommendations to management
- Create FHQ cash forecast and integrate to time deposits (focus on USD situ $ time deposits)
- Support in creating loan documents, completing entire package (loan agreement, interest calculation, remittance form, Ringisho)
- Responsible for loan schedules and loan repayment management
- Support Dividend calculations and collection
- Support Cash pool initiative
- Ad hoc calculations and audits of fund transfers based on FHQ rules
- Management of fund transfers
- Development of automatic interest calculations for monthly deposits
- Other projects
Tax
- Responsible for entire VAT and corporate income tax reporting cycle
Compliance tasks
- Communication about shareholder resolution and other documentation requirements for the subsidiaries with notary
- Ringisho administration
- Annual AGM documentation review (support)
- Annual POA cycle (support)
- Maintain dividend sheet and information
Other
- Annual insurance cycle (support)
- Maintain administration of documentation in line with legal, accounting and tax requirements.
Education and Experience;-
- Educated with a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience working in a similar accounting function within a Holdings environment
- Highly proficient user of Excel with the ability to manage large data sets
- Strong communication skills and able to liaise with multiple business departments effectively and efficiently
- Proven ability of working autonomously and using initiative to problem solve
- Confident working within an international and matrix environment
- Fluency in the English language is essential
