Group Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is searching for a dynamic, enthusiastic, energetic Group Financial Reporting Manager who can act as a leader to their team, develop and mentor staff and influence senior stakeholders.  The role will also support the Group FC and Head of Reporting.

Reports to Head of Reporting.  This is an integral role for an exciting, multinational business.  This position is responsible for ensuring that Group Finance responsibilities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner and that senior leadership are well-informed so as to make the right strategic decisions in the short, medium and long-term.  It will help drive the Financial Accounting and Reporting agenda.

  • Ensure the accounting and reporting of relevant financial information for external reporting is presented in a timely, concise and useful manner
  • Drive best practice across the team and the business
  • Identify risks and opportunities across the group, especially for efficiency and process improvement
  • Write technical accounting papers advocating the Group’s financial reporting position
  • Work in tandem with the Group Auditors to complete the audit successfully
  • Support the business by providing sound technical accounting advice to help us comply with IFRS
  • Clearly communicate group accounting policies across the business and effectively partner the finance subsidiaries to achieve business aims
  • Oversee the Group Audit
  • Deliver reporting of actuals – P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Manager month, quarter and year-end
  • Drive improved compliance and efficiency
  • Manage the consolidated statutory accounts and ensure accurate reporting
  • Help prepare Audit Report
  • Help mentor, coach and develop junior team members

 

Essential & Desirable Skills

  • Qualified ACA, with prior experience in a mid-sized or top tier practice who can also demonstrate global Financial Reporting experience in a fast-paced industry
  • Strong grasp of technical accounting principles and problem solving
  • Great communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and juggling conflicting deadlines with calmness
  • Proactive self-starter with an interest in driving efficiencies and improving company-wide process
  • Knowledge of the Media sector an advantage
