We are searching for a qualified accountant, preferably ACA, to join a world-renowned Media business based in London.  In light of Covid-19, the business is shifting its strategy to ensure that opportunities are maximised across all business units, some of these units are experiencing tremendous growth, others are looking to implement greater control measures to ensure cash leakage is minimised. This is all being done whilst they are implementing a new ERP system, the ideal candidate knows what a good Group Finance function looks like and is also systems savvy.  You will be responsible for advising on the Group’s control environment, working with the Heads of the business units to improve processes and information, whilst overseeing and managing the day to day finance function including cashflow management, AR, and financial reporting. You also will lead and motivate finance team members by setting clearly defined goals and providing guidance when needed.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Group Finance Director in the robust financial management of the business
  • Implement updates and improvements to accounting systems and processes, including invoicing/revenue recognition, collections, stock control and payroll
  • Timely delivery of month-end and year-end financial reports
  • Work with the Controllers and Directors of the business units to drive improvements in control
  • Assist the Commercial Finance Director and FP&A team in presenting reports to the board and other stakeholders when required
  • Take responsibility of the annual audit process
  • Ad-hoc projects


Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, preferably ACA
  • Professional practice experience, ideally Big 4 accounting firm
  • Experience in a large multinational organisation in a Group Finance role
