Altum are currently supporting a FTSE listed Technology business to find a key member of their growing group finance team. The company has been one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK in the last few years and is entering a new exciting phase of their journey.
This position is a key role in the Group Finance team which has responsibility for ensuring that internal control is promoted globally and implemented consistency across all our markets and central functions. Key to the role is evaluating the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting.
Participate in and lead local controls reviews evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of key controls for global business units.
Promote consistency globally, ensuring that learnings are shared and optimised to help us develop faster. This includes the implementation of both system based and manual solutions as well as the introduction of global policies.
Support business units to help manage their processes and controls for the global business to ensure that they follow Group guidance on financial policy and processes.
Manage risk across the business by implementing agreed remediation action on issues identified by internal and external audit.
Identifying gaps in Group wide financial controls and implementing new controls and processes where required.
Support the Group Controls Manager in any other ad hoc duties as required.
Required skills and experience
Qualified accountant or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of a first class control environment (e.g. first hand experience of a company operating under S404)
Excellent communicator and influencer that can quickly build quality relationships
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
