Financial Reporting

Altum are supporting a online retailer to find them a Financial Reporting Manager, to own the UK internal and external reporting. The business is in a very exciting industry and can offer fantastic progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review or preparation of various deliverables for consolidated balance sheet reporting, coordinating with many local operating units
  • Oversee group audit (under US GAAP) and statutory audits (under FRS 102, including consolidated accounts), plus SOX control audits
  • Work with the US Technical team and UK Sponsorship accountant on revenue recognition for large sponsorship contracts across the UK & Ireland
  • Review of MI forecast and calculation and group consolidation adjustments#
  • Assist with application of new accounting standards and review of compliance with current accounting standards
  • Review of statutory accounts as prepared by the Financial Accountants, and review of the group consolidations to be fed into the Group statutory accounts
  • Managing and developing a team of two

Required experience:

  • At least 2 years Post Qualified ACA and technically strong
  • Up to date on Financial Reporting Standards, including new FRS 102
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Deadline focused
  • People management skills
  • Strong communicator
  • Able to handle pressure and conflicting deadlines
  • Self-motivator and problem solver
