Altum are working with a well-respected homelessness charity to recruit their Financial Controller. Working within a well-established finance team, this role will be responsible for heading up the function and acting as the go-to for the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a small finance staff and monitoring workload
- Overseeing the Management Accounting including month end reporting
- Lead of the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders of the organisation to help realise the financial strategy
- Lead on yearend audit and oversee reporting around this
- Act as deputy to the Finance Director where necessary
- Lead on the new system implementation project

Candidate Requirement
- Ideally a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) but partqualified and finalist will be considered
- Ideally experience of working within a charity but not essential
- A strong communicator who uses proactivity to build relationships with stakeholders
- A technically accurate finance professional
