Finance Systems Officer

Altum is proud to partner with a small accountancy firm that provides finance consultancy services to the charity sector in its search for a Finance & Systems Officer. This interesting and varied role will offer the opportunity to work with a range of charities on a number of important projects and will offer fully remote working and a salary of circa £31,000 per annum. This is an initial six-month contract with the opportunity to go permanent thereafter, and can be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis.

The Finance & Systems Officer will be responsible for:

• Working with a range of clients at any given time, handling their outsourced finance responsibilities
• Processing invoices and payroll and posting journals
• Making payments on behalf of clients
• Overseeing finance mailboxes and responding to queries
• Working with a range of systems, including but not limited to Quickbooks, Netsuite and Xero
• Setting up new users on systems
• Building new charts of accounts
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations

The ideal Finance & Systems Officer will:

• Be a proactive individual, comfortable in working with ambiguity
• Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a range of client needs, prioritising accordingly
• Have strong transactional finance skills and be systems-savvy
• Enjoy solving problems
