Altum Consulting are pleased to be supporting a dynamic property developer in their search for a Finance Manager to join their commercial finance function. The business has recently diversified its portfolio and is looking to ramp up development across a new sub-sector. This has created the need for a commercially-minded finance professional to join the team and play an important part in the team’s drive to lead client reporting and relationship management.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the reporting, budgeting and cash management process for a multi-site property business. The role will be analytical and partnering in nature being client and business facing supported by a high quality offshored accounting function.

Key responsibilities,

  • Management of the reporting, forecasting, insight and analysis of Client’s assets in partnership with the Director of Client Reporting.

  • Partnering with the Heads of Customer Experience to help them maximise performance of Client’s assets. Being the key contact on all financial aspects to Clients

  • Driving costs and value including benchmarking costs and making recommendations for improvement

  • Ensuring that client reporting packs are accurate before being distributed to clients.

  • Responsibility for the contract billing model and sales incentive and rent guarantee models.

  • Supporting Pricing Manager with rent setting and yield management

  • Management of cash flow for sites and supporting Client’s financing obligations.

  • Working with the Head of Finance for the management and continuous improvement of the offshored finance function.

  • Ad hoc project work including systems development as required.

  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports in the most appropriate format for various forums, meetings, committees and other groups, in line with reporting cycles.

  • Building and maintaining a network of key contacts and personnel, both within the business and with external organisations, through timely and professional communications.

  • Sharing learning and good practice with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Required skills & qualifications,

  • Full accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA or CIMA)

  • 1-3 years PQE within a commercial finance/FP&A function

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience business partnering with both financial and non-financial stakeholders

  • Previous real estate experience desired but not essential
