Altum are currently recruiting a Finance Director for a FMCG focused SME. This role would be fantastic for someone who is a proven Finance Director, candidates may have been working in a high growth SME or in a larger business as the Finance Director for a country or business unit and are now looking to take full ownership of finance as part of a business leadership team. This position will assist the business on the next stage of their growth supporting on IT projects, Systems and Controls and developing and enhancing the current team in place.

Role and Responsibility:

  • To steer company financial strategy and lead the Finance function (Reporting and Control) ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting and reporting across the business
  • Providing a robust financial control and governance environment alongside strategic finance transformation
  • You will be responsible for the provision of financial information and high-quality support on all aspects of finance, including internal and external audits, budgetary ownership, capital investment and project business case development, performance evaluation, forecasting and driving the business to deliver financial commitments
  • Implementing a new business model to meet our customers’ demands
  • Building a simple, scalable service and supply chain platform
  • Rapidly increasing customer awareness through targeted digital advertising
  • Developing and retaining an expert team

Candidate requirements:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of leading change projects / systems changes
  • Relevant commercial planning experience ideally within an SME or large organisation
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
  • Management experience in a growth or turn around environment (SME or Corporate)
  • Able to partner leadership team and influence
  • Proven track record of holding commercial agenda and taking a strategic view of business
  • Good people leader, able to coach and develop team
