Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnering with a US listed property business in their search for a Divisional Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. This role will report directly into the EMEA CFO and be responsible for delivering all aspects of controllership across the EMEA region, supporting effective operational finance processes and controls.
Responsible for accurate, timely, monthly closing of the books and all associated governance, reviews and US GAAP reporting.
Responsible for ensuring journals, client invoice requests, vendor invoice approvals and manual payment requests are all in line with the DOA and Policies.
Responsible for the timely production, review and governance of all reporting and (internal, external, statutory, treasury and group) and associated disclosures
Responsible for ensuring effective controls are in place and understood within the area of responsibility to ensure the integrity of financial records. This includes supporting the communication, training and understanding of Accounting and Treasury Policies, SOX and other financial controls
Own all aspects of the balance sheet including reporting, regular reconciliation reviews, mapping and timely open item matching and remediation
Responsible for the timely and cost-effective delivery of all local statutory audits and filings through close collaboration with auditors and external third parties. Also responsible for supporting Internal and Tax audits and implementing audit recommendations
Support Treasury and the business on treasury related requests (eg bank account changes, reporting, forecasting, working capital funding, manual payment requests and bank guarantees).
Full accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA or CIMA)
5+ years PQE
Experience leading audits and statutory accounts process (audit background and SOX control experience preferred)
Experience of managing a month end close process within a BPO / Shared service model
Strong experience reporting under US GAAP & IFRS
Knowledge of core ERP and reporting systems, HFM & Workday strongly preferred.
