Job Title: Director of Finance & Operations
Reporting to: Chief Executive
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum pro rata, plus benefits, depending on experience
Hours: 21 hours per week (can be spread over 3, 4 or 5 days)
Location: Hybrid - minimum 10 hours per week working from Creative United\'s offices in Central London.
Creative United, a social enterprise that aims to support the growth and sustainability of the creative industries, is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Finance & Operations on a part-time basis to join its small but ambitious and innovative team. It provides a range of financial and business support services to artists, cultural organisations, and creative enterprises focussing on enhancing the economic impact of the creative sector, fostering innovation, and ensuring accessibility to the arts.
This newly created position will partner closely with the Chief Executive and wider team to drive financial and operational excellence to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the financial and operational strategy, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the Senior Management Team.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Operational Excellence: Lead the development and enhancement of internal systems and processes including IT services and contracts with providers, ensuring the seamless operation of our programmes.
- Innovative Development: Collaborate with the Chief Executive and other senior leaders to develop and launch new initiatives that align with our social and economic objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key funders and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and manage the Bookkeeper and Office Manager, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with company goals.
What We\'re Looking For:
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years at a Senior Management level, with a strong background in finance and operations. Experience in the arts, cultural, or creative industries is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems including 365 and excel, with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Benefits include flexible and hybrid working, a generous holiday allowance with 25 days holidays (pro rata) plus Bank holidays and Christmas closure, increasing by one with each year of service (up to a maximum of 30 days).
