​Interim Commercial Finance Analyst - Media

Our client is a media and marketing business who have experienced high-growth over the last 18 months which has continued throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is a new hire and a rare opportunity for a bright recently qualified accountant to join a very high-performing finance function. The successful applicant may be straight from a Big 4 practice firm, a reputable accountancy grad scheme, or may have had 1-2 jobs in industry.

Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst is responsible for Business Partnering the Marketing and Technology teams, helping to develop budgets, forecasts and strategy for the division. Must be able to demonstrate their ability to adapt and learn in relation to: accurate reports for stakeholders, developing 5 year plans, budgets, forecasts, quarter close and brand new finance projects.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is a key position in a high-growth business and a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate.

Responsibilities:

•Work with the Commercial Manager to build relationships for finance across the business with key non-finance stakeholders

•Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis

•Help write and present reports to leadership team

•Work on developing insightful and informative finance tools for the rest of the business

•Help write budgets and forecasts and look at the long-range plan

•Help drive best practice and standardisation across the wider finance team

•Support all aspects of the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-term plan, including where necessary consolidation and analysis of other business units

Person Specification:

•Preferably ACA/CIMA qualified from a well-regarded employer

•Experience working in a high-performing team

•University degree and strong academic record

•Advanced Excel skills

•Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships outside of finance
