Our client, an industry leading Media business is looking for a proactive Finance Manager to join on an initial 12 month contract.

Role:

  • Winding down a specific legal entity and will initially be

  • Taking ownership of balance sheet accounts

  • Key point of contact with both Internal and External auditors

  • Responsible for the monthly reporting of a new entity, helping to set up processes for this new entity and drive best practice finance behaviours in relation to the new business

  • Own end to end accounting process

  • Work with the outsourced team who will support with the transactional areas of work

  • Lead the monthly submissions whilst ensuring a clean and accurate P&L and Balance sheet

  • Collaborate closely with our Commercial teams to ensure accurate balances, entries and insights from the system

  • General accounting during the month and at month-end

  • Deal with inter and intra company transactions

  • Provide insightful commentary and analysis to senior leadership

  • Ad-hoc project work as required

Experience required:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

  • Detail orientated

  • Experience of leading audits and preparing statutory accounts

  • Media experience preferable

  • Great communicator but someone who is also capable of managing themselves and enjoys getting stuck in to new projects
