On the 24th February, our Altumate team in Amsterdam headed to Ronald McDonald House at the AMC Emma hospital to spend the afternoon learning about the charity and to show off their skills in the kitchen.
Arriving at the house the team received a tour and learnt more about the charity. Ronald McDonald Houses provide families with the chance to remain close to their child whilst they are in hospital, at the time of our visit the AMC Emma house was at capacity with 26 rooms full. Our team were privileged to be given the chance to help the charity provide support to these families, to try and reduce the emotional and financial strain of having a critically ill child in hospital.
Altum Consulting brought along groceries and set to work in the kitchen to create a buffet dinner to serve for all the families. It was an incredible opportunity for our team to gain an insight in the charity and get behind the scenes to actively participate in the fantastic work they do.
We created the Altum Foundation to give our employees the platform to make a positive impact on the world. This outing to Ronald McDonald house was organised through our Foundation and it is inspiring to see our team so enthusiastically engaging with giving back to the community and living our core values.
